Cybersecurity is obviously an important policy priority, but it's not the only area of tech policy getting attention by government. State and federal regulators are also pursuing laws and regulations in other areas, like copyright, privacy, antitrust, and social media regulation - each of which ultimately affects the ability to keep our computing systems and networks secure. Come to this session to learn about some of the policy pushes in these other areas, consider how some of the consequences these regulatory initiatives may bear on cybersecurity, and workshop how those effects might be avoided.
