Kasimir Schulz (@Abraxus7331) a former developer, turned enthusiastic vulnerability researcher at Trellix’s Advanced Research Center, is bringing a new twist to security by bringing tools and techniques from the software world to the security world. In his time as a vulnerability researcher, Kasimir has been creating new tools to both automatically find vulnerabilities by modifying existing scanning techniques to better match the needs of vulnerability research. Kasimir, and the team at Trellix, have also been trying to go beyond simply finding vulnerabilities and have been attempting to automatically patch vulnerabilities on a mass scale to help prevent supply chain attacks.
