Better Ingredients. Better PCB Badges.

Presented at PhreakNIC 23 (2019), Nov. 9, 2019, 10 a.m. (60 minutes).

Electronic circuit badges have been around for a while, but have surged in popularity in the last few years. Learn how to build your own custom electronic badge from scratch, discover a few tricks and secrets, and see into the behind-the-scenes development of the GIMME PIZZA badge we put together this year!

From circuit design to board manufacturing, from part sourcing to final assembly, find out what it takes to put a fun, flashy, and probably superfluous electronic badge together. Some of the lessons learned can be used in more functional projects, too, so even if you’re not looking to build a wearable badge, there will be plenty of information and tips about power supplies, battery-operated devices, and wireless communications.

There will be some free goodies for attendees that might just help with your next badge project!
