Glitch in the Hacker context

Presented at Notacon 10 (2013), April 20, 2013, 7:30 p.m. (30 minutes)

From "WTF is Dirty New Media?!" to "How does Glitch operate in the Hacker context?", jonCates stages questions which open up a conversation on the intersections of the glitchscenes and demoscenes of PixelJam and NOTACON 10. Tracing various contentious media art histories and genealogies of Glitch Art, this discussion charts a strange and wonderful territory-journey of radically inclusive embraces between communities; the formation of new hybrid art forms and discourses; high-weirdness, deep majik and heavy wizardy.
