from glass fiber to fiber glass noodles: towards edible network infrastructures

Experiments in edible network infrastructures #Experimental Presentation on experiments in using mung bean vermicelli, or 'glass noodles', for data transmission within the context of net neutrality/transparency and the amorphous Cloud. Leveraging the mediums properties for both light/data transportation as well as culinary delight. Part of a year long research project in collaboration with Roel Roscam Abbing.

  Dennis de Bel (1984, NL) is a Rotterdam based script kiddie artist who investigates the functioning of (technological) objects and systems. Uncovering their underlying power structures through the process of (literal) reverse engineering and playful reconstruction. Holding a MA in Media Design and Communication from the Piet Zwart Institute since 2009 he currently tutors at the Willem de Kooning Academy, also in Rotterdam.
