Scholarships for Women in Cybersecurity

Presented at Diana Initiative 2019, Aug. 9, 2019, 12:30 p.m. (30 minutes).

There are opportunities and scholarships available to women interested in cybersecurity careers. How do you find them? What is available? What is it like to be part of a pilot program? As a career changer and liberal arts graduate, with no technical work background, I was chosen as a pilot student for the new SANS Diversity Immersion Academy program, an all online bootcamp, where I completed three SANS certifications: GIAC GSEC, GIAC GCIH, and GIAC GCIA, within six months. I would love to share my experiences and what I have learned on this exciting journey with other women!
