Endpoint Protection: Behind the ML and smoke screens

Endpoint protection is a hot market. With many organisations still struggling with basic malware protection, let alone network defense, they are turning to EPP solutions to help them fight the battle. Statistics show daily malware creation can be up to 1 million pieces a day and traditional signature AV products can't keep up.

With so many tools on the market, its hard to know where to start and what to look for. This presentation takes you on an EPP testing journey, functional and non-functional testing aspects and where to start. I’ll demonstrate the testing methodology used, what really happened when products were put to the test.

• Lidia Giuliano - Information Security Professional
  Lidia Giuliano has 15 years’ experience in Information Security. She has strong interest in vulnerability management, data security and malware analysis with a focus on defensive security. She holds a BAppSci in CS and a MAppSci in IT from RMIT University in Melbourne Australia. In her personal time, she enjoys mentoring for FiTT Australia and AWSN, being involved in community activities and personal security research.
