Welcome to The Diana Initiative and Keynote Panel: Take the Initiative

Presented at Diana Initiative 2017, July 27, 2017, 6:30 p.m. (60 minutes)

Resilience. Strength. Determination. Some of the founders of The Diana Initiative will talk about being Women in InfoSec and what holding this conference means to them. There are some great connotations with the name Diana: goddess, singer, legend, princess. And the word initiative - to us, that means "Take the initiative". It's about how we have had to make our own opportunities happen, and grow from that. We fought to make this conference happen because we believed in it so much and on honouring the commitment we made. This is about using the power you have, and leveraging it with resolve and determination. It's about finding common ground and forging alliances. Because we won't get there alone.
