Cole Fortier

**Cole Fortier** is a piano player and vocalist whose original music stems from a diverse musical palette. Music was always around him in his life, as he is the son of acclaimed singer-songwriter Andrew Fortier and brother of singer-songwriter Andie Fortier. While they can often be seen performing together as the family group Tricycle, Cole frequently performs as a solo artist. His rich musical language incorporates elements of soul, jazz, progressive pop, chamber pop, theater, and classical music. When he isn’t performing music on his own, he is collaborating with his college band Arbutus and Vines and composing classical compositions. His different stylistic interests as a creator are unified by his interest in color, whether this refers to the lush and nuanced chord progressions in his music or his lyrical narratives on the desire of human connection. Cole has an EP out entitled “Cafe Nostalgia”, which features a focus on his soul/funk/jazz leanings. While working on a follow up album and various classical compositions, he also just completed a year-long cover series on YouTube where he covered the entirety of Burt Bacharach and Elvis Costello’s “Painted from Memory” album in 2021. Always looking to entertain and connect with others, he looks forward to every performance he is a part of with love and gratitude!
