Chip McSweeney is a security researcher for the OpenDNS Research Labs team. At OpenDNS, he finds new and more efficient methods of detecting threats using the unique features of malware. Prior to OpenDNS, he earned his Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he also worked as a Malware Analyst in the Computer Forensics laboratory. There he developed tools for malware detection and analysis for the DARPA Cyber Genome Program, and the body of work for his thesis.
