Andrew Carney

Andrew Carney is program manager for the DARPA AI Cyber Challenge (AIxCC) and a program manager at the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) where he leads programs and projects to improve health cybersecurity. Carney was previously a technical advisor and contractor for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). At DARPA, he supported research efforts focused on reverse engineering, program analysis, human-machine teaming, and automated program repair. Carney has over 15 years of experience in software and hardware vulnerability research, technical education and training, and Capture the Flag (CTF) competitions. He holds a master’s degree in computer science from The Johns Hopkins University.
