Smart Watches and the Internet of Blings

Presented at ToorCon San Diego 16 (2014), Oct. 25, 2014, 10 a.m. (50 minutes).

Smart watches are all the rage. All the power of a phone on your wrist, what’s not to love? Well, let’s start with the crappy security model. There’s also the gaping flaws that leave your text messages, tweets, and emails all accessible to *any* app on the watch. Round it out with some remote attacks over Bluetooth, and things are looking pretty dismal. Actually, come to think of it, *we* definitely love everything about smart watches. Do you?
