Apache Kafka is a widely adopted pub/sub messaging platform that can scale to handle huge volumes of data. It’s a powerful technology but notoriously difficult to configure, especially when it comes to Transport Layer Security (TLS). In this session, we’ll cover TLS best practices that yield a secure and compliant system, as well as critical techniques to maximize performance.

Tyler Paxton is VP of Product at Distil Networks, a bot mitigation company. He joined Distil in 2017 through the acquisition of Are You A Human — a company that offers expertise in analyzing and understanding how real humans interact with the internet — where he served as co-founder and CEO. Tyler earned a B.S. from Oakland University and an MBA at the University of Michigan in 2011.
