Recruiter Smack Down (Panel)

This is a chance to hear what was covered in the sessions today and have recruiters and community experts agree or disagree with the presentations along with understand the key takeaways from the day. Great time to also ask questions and get a debate going.

  • Matt Duren - Recruiting Manager - Tenable
    Matt Duren has been in recruiting since he graduated college in 2001. Starting out in a technical staffing agency, Matt quickly transitioned to corporate recruiting and has lead recruiting teams responsible for IT and college recruiting, as well as Employment Branding. Matt is currently the lead technical recruiter at Tenable, located in Columbia, MD. Originally from Virginia, Matt has lived in Maryland since graduating from James Madison University. He also holds a Masters in Organizational Development and Strategic HR from Johns Hopkins. When he's not recruiting, you can find Matt enjoying family-time with his wife and two daughters, training for the occasional Obstacle Course Race, and eating Gummy Bears…lots of Gummy Bears.
  • Kris Rides - CEO - Tiro Security
    I'm not an Australian..... this accent is from the other side of the world! Please don't look for the guy in a full Tuxedo as I'm not packing it for this Vegas visit. I'm a trained Social Engineering Penetration Tester and Founder of an InfoSec specialist recruitment and professional services company, Tiro Security based out of Los Angeles. I'm also one of the founding board members and current President of the LA Chapter of the Cloud Security Alliance Come talk to me about infosec staffing, penetration testing, vendor risk assessments and securing SMB's or over a beer about Snowboarding, tattoos and my obsession with diving with sharks!

    Over 20 years quietly lurking in the industry, in public and private sectors. I've had different security roles: instructor, information system security officer/manager, accreditor, system /network admin/engineer, vulnerability assessment/pentesting, incident response, cyber security operations, fixer of stuff, policy-writer/reviewer, enabler, and whatever else needs to get done at the time.     Pete Radloff is a veteran recruiter, sourcer and consultant, who has been in the industry since 2000, with experience in both agency and corporate settings. Pete's passion stretches across several areas of talent acquisition, including recruitment and sourcing, social media, employment branding, recruitment operations and the training and mentoring of recruiters. Currently the Principal Technical Recruiter for comScore, and a Lead Consultant with exaqueo, Pete has previously worked for other high-growth organizations such as NPR and LivingSocial. In addition to recruiting top talent both in the U.S. and abroad for these companies, Pete has developed successful recruitment and sourcing frameworks,recruitment processes and procedures, and enhancements to the candidate experience to enhance employer brand. He also has deep experience in recruitment systems selection and implementation, vendor selection and HR Tech & Sourcing tool evaluation.   • Steve Levy - Principal - Recruiting Inferno
    Steve Levy brings an atypical combination of recruiting expertise and a technical experience to his performance-focused engagements with clients. He was one of the earliest members of the original ERE community and in 2004, was the first official ERE Blogger and Group Leader. Today he is one of the founding members of the recently launched Association of Talent Acquisition Professionals. Steve is widely known as a talent acquisition influencer across many industries and has been recognized as one of the most influential technical recruiting thought leaders and one of the top people to follow on social media recruiting. As Principal of The Recruiting Inferno, he offers hands-on consulting spanning strategy, sourcing, recruiting, training, and coaching. Steve is also an Advisor to Hiretual and eTeki. He is a Tau Beta Pi engineer with advanced degrees in Industrial/Organizational Psychology focused on research design and multivariate analysis.
