A look at three "F'ing" government agencies whose recent oversight and regulatory actions are shaping the where and how of information security research.

  • Elizabeth Wharton
    Ms. Wharton, an attorney and co-founder of Policy Bytes, utilizes her first-hand legislative and information security business experience to advise clients on strategic messaging, policy impact analysis, and legislative initiative implementation for technology research, information security, and privacy related issues at the state and federal level. Ms. Wharton has been a congressional legislative aide in Washington, D.C. advising on technology policy, Georgia State Senate Judiciary Committee Counsel, and in-house counsel for an information security start-up. James Magazine recognized Ms. Wharton as a Rising Star and top ten female lobbyist in Georgia. She currently serves on the Government Relations Task Force for the Technology Association of Georgia and is a contributor on technology policy issues for publications including InsiderAdvantage and Southern Political Report. Ms. Wharton has presented on data privacy and information security laws before the ABA/Science and Technology Law Section: Information Security Committee Meeting, NAISG-Atlanta, and Security B-SidesLV.
