Have you ever watched an epic battle movie with swords clashing and wanted to join the fight, or seen Olympic fencing and thought, "I could do that"; Well, here's your chance! Come learn about the sport of fencing, the different weapons, and the strategy that goes with them. We'll also discuss the history of how swords once used for warfare evolved into modern-day competition weapons, as well as the many benefits fencing offers to those who train. After the presentation and demonstrations, you will have the opportunity to try your hand at "stabbing the other guy".

Amy Clausen
Brian Stone is the founder and coach of Two Ravens Fencing School, located in Cleveland, OH. Brian fenced for the University Notre Dame as a member of their Division I varsity fencing team from 1994-1998, earning All-American and MVP honors. He's been fencing for 23 years and coaching for 13 years, most recently in the Cleveland area. A number of Brian's students have performed well at national and world competitions, and several are now competing on Division I varsity teams. Brian also has a passion for the history of swords and the different ways they were used in warfare. He gladly shares his knowledge with any student who asks. Amy Clausen has been a student of Brian Stone's for over four years and has found fencing to be a great stress reliever for the toils of work and life. A musician by background, Amy enjoys being able to tap into her more "assertive" side at practice and tournaments. She has competed at several local, regional, and national events, and enjoys engaging in an individual sport that still offers a team atmosphere.
