Starting with Ham Radio

In this talk, an introduction to the world of the amateur radio, will be given. It will be explained how radio devices work and what they are used for nowadays, what these are and how the radio waves are spread, what types of security exist in the radio communications, and lastly a comment will be made on how it is possible to communicate through low-cost satellites. We will also see basic concepts about what an SDR is, how can we use a Handdy to communicate with satellites.

• Francisco Canteli
  Francisco Canteli is an informatics technician, pentester and Sysadmin. He has been passionate for informatics security since he was a child and he has delivered training and seminars related to security. Currently, he studies Informatics Engineering, is Responsible for the Infrastructure and is the organizer of the IT 404 community Zone in Zona Oeste. He owns vast knowledge in amateur radio and in Radio Defined Software.
