Privacy-minded charities have a hard time going up against silicon valley's army of corporate lawyers. Digital rights are becoming increasingly important in society, but politicians fail to come up with answers. Across the world law after law is being passed, eroding our civil liberties. Ancilla has been fighting to keep our digital rights for the past 5 years.     Privacy advisor. Member of the Beehive4.2 advisory board. Speaker & writer on civil rights, nerd culture and the future of technology. Previously lots of things. Ancilla ran for two election campaigns, most recently as a front runner of the Pirate Party in the Dutch National election. She started out her career as a digital rights advocate in 2012 with NGO Bits of Freedom. Currently she works for privacy-friendly search engine Startpage.
