Have you ever felt like a fraud in your profession, despite your accomplishments? Success should build confidence, not shake it, but it can be an ongoing struggle for many women and underrepresented minorities in information security. In fact, many of your peers likely experience self-doubt – feeling like an impostor – at some point in their careers.
When you receive a fraud alert on your credit report, you take steps to protect yourself. If you ignore it, there are negative consequences. The same is true for the internal fraud alert alarm bells that go off when impostor syndrome rears its ugly head. In this session, I will share actionable strategies for shattering impostor syndrome and breaking your self-imposed glass ceiling, including how self-talk shapes perceptions of worth and why you need a network to help you “fake it till you make it.”
