"Digital Subscriber Lines (DSL) are one of the major ways for interconnecting homes and companies with the internet. Yet there was no public research to sniff the traffic as a man in the middle on those installations.
This research is shows how it is possible to sniff data at DSL lanes without being the ISP or owner of the Modem. For this we have experimented with different ADSL/VDSL lines and build a sniffer which is capable of sniffing all communication up layer two between the ISP and CPE. The sniffer can be attached at the copper lanes directly. "
