Presented at DerbyCon 3.0 All in the Family (2013), Sept. 27, 2013, 6 p.m. (50 minutes).

Most everyone fly’s commercially. You probably flew to this conference. Have you ever thought about air traffic control? Have you ever thought about it as a Hacker? Would it surprise you to know that the ‘Next Generation’ air traffic control system being deployed right now utilizes unencrypted and unauthenticated protocols? Come learn what happens when a bored hacker starts asking basic security questions about a program that’s already spent several billion dollars and why RenderMan should never be allowed to be bored again.
