Where are we headed with all our things as they become connected to the internet? Everything is already so vulnerable, but companies are building convenient products and services so fast without thinking about the security issues. This talk is a little bit technical and a bit philosophical. I'll be walking through some interesting technology and the issues they're causing as we adopt a lifestyle of technological convenience.

Josh Pyorre

Josh Pyorre has worked in security for over 14 years. Prior to working with Cisco Umbrella, he was a threat analyst at NASA and part of the team that built the NASA Security Operations Center. He has worked with Mandiant, helping to build their SOC and conducting incident response. Before working in security, Josh was the technical director for a non-profit providing assistance to the homeless in San Francisco.
His professional interests involve network, computer and data security with a goal of maintaining and improving the security of as many systems and networks as possible.
Josh has presented at Defcon, B Sides (Austin, Las Vegas, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Amsterdam, Vienna), Source (Boston, Seattle), Derbycon, InfoSecurity World Europe, DeepSec (Vienna), Qbit (Prague), NASA (Ames Research Center) and other locations for law firms and government entities.
