Sextech is a growing technology-driven industry that aims to improve human sexuality and sexual experience. While there is a main emphasis on hardware devices, the industry scope is a lot broader and encompasses areas such as adult entertainment, sex work, sex education, and societal perceptions around sex.
Within this space of innovation and positive disruption there arises security concerns around hardware hacking, data and privacy, and personal safety etc…. This talk will focus on these areas to raise awareness and encourage considerations about the impact that we as security professionals may have on the sextech x security landscape in New Zealand.
