What do you do when you get hit with a vulnerability? Knowing about and mitigating an security incident is more than just technical work: how you deal with the incident internally and externally is just as important. This talk will describe an incident from start to finish, how it was dealt with and what lessons we learned.

  For the last 4 and a half years I've been involved in many forms of cybersecurity as an operational security officer for the Network department of KPN. This includes training & awareness, incident response, supporting teams with security operations and the occasional involvement with architecture.
