Sept. 23, 2022, 4 p.m.
(61 minutes).
Twice a day, every day of the year, weather balloons are released simultaneously from almost 900 locations worldwide!
Each of them carries a small piece of electronic art called a 'radio sonde'.
After the fall sonde transmits telemetry for a couple of hours and it is for grabs ... if you can find it! :)
Muddy shoes or freezing outdoors while trying to figure out where the darn thing landed => our idea of fun, and we are not the only ones with this specific disorder :)
If you want to learn about the tools required for this stratospheric treasure hunt join us for a talk.
We will cover basic sonde types used in Europe, and lead you through the details on how we hacked and re-programmed one of the types.

When not programming boring stuff for big 'evil' corp likes to tinker with all things digital and a bit of older 'tech' also (like 10 000 old 'pottery technology' trying to mix it with hardware like clay 3d printers and trying to mix traditional arts with digital arts).
